Just wanted to draw scene where shiranui stands up and refuses to die after fight with Nechku and lechku. I have always wanted to draw that scene and when I browsed throught Okami fanarts I get so inspirated that... hmm... yeah xD I had to start drawing.
Oki and amaterasu were not in original sketch but somehow they wangled themselves in there xD

I use Paint tool sai and it expired which sucks but at least i have Print screen thingy and thats it but yeah ; - ;

This is so beautiful, shows the selflessness of Shiranui so perfectly, how she was willing to sacrifice herself to save Oki & Ammy. To me Shiranui is a girl, as she is Ammy's 100 year old previous form, why she's referred to in Okamiden as "he" must be a mistake in the translation, as the Japanese language lacks gender-specific pronouns.

No, shiranui actually is male even if amaterasu is female. They also spoke of Chibiterasu as a male.

This is the most beautiful drawing of this scene I have ever seen!!! I was trying so hard not to cry during this scene, but your drawing made the memories I have of Shiranui's bravery priceless. Nice going!!!

However I must comment on this; Amaterasu is not copyrighted to Clover Studio. She is an actual god (the main deity, actually) of the Shinto religion, and the backstory of Okami is based off of a story told by thousands of generations in Japan

I know. I really do know that, but since I want to make sure everyone gets that this amaterasu is from the game and the game itself is copyrighted for clover.

Wow. This is both sad and beautiful. I'm too scared to fav in case it makes me cry. This is simply an astounding take on the end of battle with shiranui. And I think its nice that Oki and Amaterasu have made it in there. I think it adds to the saddness, them watching Shiranui struggle.
