Description
Finished my Kingdom Key, then got this idea for scene while playing with textures. So...here it is, the Kingdom Keyblade, used in many battles and scarred with the damage from heavy use against the Heartless.Made in POV-Ray
Kingdom Key copyright SquareEnix and Disney

I've just started working with pov ray and i have to say i'm really impressed. Though I do have to ask, what shape did you use to make the hilt?

First, thanks for the favorite and comment.
As for the shape of the hilt, I do not recall exactly, as it has been so long since I made it, but I'm pretty sure I might have used texture mapping to turn a basic cyllinder into the diamond-grip textured handle.
The WIP image ( vorashnik.deviantart.com/art/Kβ¦ ) shows the untextured key in its mostly-finished state, and might help with discerning the shape of the hilt. I googled reference images when making it, and I'm fairly sure I used one like this, if not this image itself: i.neoseeker.com/ca/kingdom_heaβ¦
Good luck with your endeavors in POV-Ray usage.

βSomewhere out there, thereβs this tree with star-shaped fruit, and the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you andο»Ώ your friends carry Good Luck charms shaped like it, nothing can ever drive you apartβ

excellent work. I'm not sure why but i've always been fascinated by keys. This one looks really cool. I wish they'd make keys like this again.

Man sieht das gut aus! Wenn du auch noch die komplizierteren Schwerter (Ultima, Memoire) in so genialer Grafik hinkriegst, bin ich endlos begeistert.

Thanks.
And yeah, Kingdom Hearts isn't half bad for a Disney game; of course Square Enix had a hand and we know from the Final Fantasy games that they can make some good games(though not always *cough FFX-2 cough*). So yeah, their contribution made the game halfway decent.

indeed, lots of people didnt like FF:CC either, probobly cuz it varied from their world sooooo much

Yep, makes sense. FF:CC was vastly different from how other FF games were played, and this unfamiliarity would spark confusion with the players.

Yeah, the good reviews the game got seem to confirm your statement.
I'd have played it myself but I lack gamecube so all I can go by is reviews. >>;

Far as I can tell, you point it at the lock and it magic-lasers the thing open or locked. >>;
