Thank you! It's always good to hear your opinion. You liked the background?   Can't tell you how happy I am to hear that since backgrounds are usually my weak point. But I'm practicing this summer on my cons. I have a long way to go.

Yeah, the background looks great. You gave a cool volume to it with the shading.   
I don't think you have a "long" way to go, because you have good skills already. For example, your anatomy is great and you have a good sense of perspective and proportion. Usually people in this level of drawing find it easier to develop their skills. So I believe you just need to practice a little, but it won't take you months to get the hang of it.   (By the way, your drawing called Wild Pokemon Paradise also has an awesome scenery. I forgot to mention it.  )

Thanks for the motivation.   Yeah, shading makes a big difference. It can make or break a drawing. That's why sometimes I get scared to shade and do as little shading as possible but I experimented with this one and I guess it paid off.

You're welcome. Yeah, shading and I also would say coloring can break a drawing. I make this mistake a lot, because I'm not that great at coloring (never liked to paint that much. When I was a kid I used to only make black and white drawings... That's what happens when you're a lazy bum. Haha) So yeah, my lineart/sketch always looks cooler than my finished colored artwork. 
Good that you faced your fear. You can tame this angry beast! Hehe

Hah, that sounds like me. I always make a copy of my linearts before coloring in case I mess things up.
