Description
That's Shikamaru after a mission (I had the Hidan-Kakuzu mission in mind), he is kind of having a grateful moment for returning home alive and avenging Asuma. He was supposed to have scars and injuries on his body but my sister insisted that I kept his body like this. I guess we can pretend that Sakura or Tsunade healed him. They never really have visible injuries in Naruto anyway, when most of them should have permanent scars all over their bodies. The background is actually 4 different places, 3 of them are sceneries from Konoha and 1 behind Temari is Sunagakure.

I didn't have anything in mind when I started drawing this, I started inking before the sketching was over so I had trouble placing Shikamaru's left arm because it was added after the rest of Shikamaru was inked. That's why it's in an awkward position.But it ended up being one of my favorite fan artworks. My favorite part to do was coloring, especially Ino and Temari's hair. And the sky. Coloring the sky with markers had always been a nightmare for me, but I think I did a fine job with this.
