Description
I meant for this to be the best thing I'd ever done. But sometimes things don't work out.It was however somewhat cathartic. It would have been moreso if it had turned out better.
God I miss them.

I met Brad Dourif in 2003 at Mid Ohio Con....and I also met this guy, Dean Haglund! He's my favorite Lone Gunman!
Unfortunately, when I met him, he'd already cut his hair off hehe. Oh well...he was still nice!

I don't remember much of what happened when I met him, just that he was nice and agreed to have his pic taken with me hehe.

It really sucks that they were killed off in the x-files. A second season would've been awesome.

Oh, this is B-E-A-UTIFUL! Seriously, the HAIR (!!!), the expression, everything's just - you got him PERFECTLY, somewhere in your house there's a little mustard jar with a label that sez "Essence of Langly" on it, because you CAPTURED IT. <3
I'm probably one of the only Gunfen who DIDN'T cry during Jump the Shark - one, because my parents (who also love them a lot <3) had prepared me for it, and two because I DO NOT believe they're dead. And I do have reasons, it's not simply wishful thinking.
._. I wish I hadn't graduated last month because I'm certain I could write a kickarse "persuasive essay" on the subject.
But yeah. Whether or not they still live (which they DO) - Joey and Ringo couldn't have been more right. Guys like those truly do live forever. Thanks so much for this wonderful pic - there is NOT enough Gunmen fanart up here (but there's a bit in my gallery too n_n;; ).

Actually the jar says "Essence of snugglebunny"
I had no idea....about JtS. I actually remember when it sounded like the best news ever that they were gonna do the conclusion that never happened....and then everything went terribly wrong and I started to get that pitfall feeling in my stomach like first watching Episode 1, the instant I suddenly realized "Waaaaaait a minute, Qui-Gon Jinn didn't train Anakin! OH NO!"
Only a hundred times worse.
Since then I've relied heavily on compete and total denial.

D'aaaw. n__n
>D I actually caught an X-Files ep today and was delighted by what I'm now deeming the Line of the Week:
Mulder: (upon returning from the "dead" and receiving an extended, aaaww-worthy, Fro-hug) "Melvin... I'd be so much happier to see you if you'd get your hands off my ass."
xD HAR! I lawled for quite some time.
And ohh, I know just how ye feel about JtS (what an appropriate name, eh? D< ), though. I would have been absolutely inconsolable if it had been sprung on me like it must have been for thousands of Gunfen - it's one of the most cruel tricks Fox/10-13/whomever could have played, getting everyone's hopes up by giving us carrots like "finally, that cliffhanger's going to be resolved!" and a quote from Mr. Carter, I believe, when he said that said "this is for the FANS"! That, I believe, implies something GOOD? Not heart-shattering, correct?
And then dropping a bomb on us like that. "Killing" all three of our heroes in one fell, awful swoop.
Well honey, if it'll make ye feel any better, ponder this for a bit.
People on the X-Files "die" and "come back to life" many, many times, especially main characters. Hell, Mulder did it just today in the ep I referred to earlier! Why in the world should it be different for our guys?
The way they showed their "deaths" was an utter cop-out. Fade to white, then with closed coffins? I think not. Show me bodies, man, actual bodies, then I MIGHT think about beginning to CONSIDER believing they're dead.
Conspiracies and lies is the very nature of the XF and the LGM. It's what they do - they see a lie, they reveal the truth. I feel certain that this is just one more, and that they're going to dispell this one just like they have with so many others before. This is just the biggest conspiracy we've faced so far; if it's not simply one in the universe/storyline, it's one from 10-13 and company. I just have so much faith in them (the characters, not Fox. Never Fox, the executioner of good shows!).
My personal theory is that they truly are alive and only Yves knows, and she can't tell anyone because this is the ULTIMATE COVER for the Gunmen to continue their work. And she can't even tell poor Jimmy for quite obvious reasons, bless his dear heart. <3
And lastly... x3 A little silly nitpicky, but potentially valid point I realized a while ago.
In Arlington Cemetary, the coffins are very specifically measured to the intombeds' height, so they'll be airtight and the bodies preserved as long as possible.
In the funeral scene, all three coffins were the precise same length. Something we know to be completely untrue!
If this is accurate (which in reality at least, it is) Frohike's coffin would have to have been a good deal shorter than the other two! RIDDLE ME THAT, JTS! >DDD BWAHA!
... That is all. x3 For now.

Oh believe me - toooootal denial. I deny the episode ever happened...on all my little episodes lists it's refered to as "That thing that never happened," or is just represented as a sort of scribbly line. I can't talk about it for more than thirty seconds without my eyes welling up *LOL* And then I have to change the subject before I start bawling.

I never watched the X-Files, strangely enough, I watched the Lone Gunmen, and that guy up there was my favorite character. Love how you coloured his t-shirt and skin : D

God, who couldn't love Langly? I've been catching episodes of The X-Files on and off for several years, but recently I've been binging on them - and I always squee whenever The Lone Gunmen show up. You captured Langly perfectly here! My friend =MidgetMe pointed this piece out to me, and I'm glad he did. Kickass!

If you haven't already, you should see if you can find their brief (13 episode) spinoff, The Lone Gunmen. They released it on DVD, finally, this year - it was brilliant.

Oh, I found out about that recently and am eager to watch it! Too bad it didn't last that long, but nonetheless - reading about it makes me want to watch it. Crazy about the plane hijacking plot in the first episode airing not long before 9/11, eh?

It was a couple of months. Maybe six? But I remember, I tryed to tell my mother that had happened in the pilot episode and she didn't remember it at all *L* So I had to play it for her (I taped them all when they aired). Pretty spooky to watch.
But yeah, definitely check it out. EXCELLENT series.

I've only watched it once since I first saw it, because I start crying almost immediately, become hysterical somewhere around Langly's speech about Joey Ramone and by the end am flailing my arms and yelling "JUST KICK HIM IN THE CROTCH AND ROLL UNDER THE DOOR!"
