Description
Done using two different historical paintings, plus an eyewitness description taken from DRACULA, PRINCE OF MANY FACES: HIS LIFE AND TIMES by Radu R. Florescu and Raymond T. McNally. Somewhere between reconcilling all three sources I think he may have come out looking a trifle benevolent for a mass-murdering dictator warlord, but, I figure, mass-murdering dictator warlords don't scowl viciously while posing for portraits anyway.I've always had a soft spot for the ol' Impaler.

He was cruel ? Yes ! He was scary ? Yes !
But he never killed innocent people ! Only guilty people were punished: invading turks, traitor boyars (nobles), beggars, etc.
He was a just man and he is highly respected by all romanians. If he was such a twisted maniack as the West portraits him, than how is that we love and respect his memory so much ????!!

Oh believe me, I'm on your side. He's a fascinating figure and I get goosebumps every time I read about the Night Attack on Mehmed II's army. 
He was brilliant.
