Any Mientas made when this was the way they were supposed to look do not have to change; however they are referred to as First-Gen Mientas, and are technically now a different species.

On that note, First-Gen Mientas are now retired/closed, and may no longer be made.

Mientas are omnivorous, dragonlike equines that live in the Mienta Hollow, a grove located somewhere in Everfree. Hidden by leaves, Mientas can hunt and enjoy themselves without being seen. They greatly dislike being seen by normal ponies in their true form- which is why they have a disguise form. When they want to socialize with ponies, they turn into this form.

Sometimes, more malevolent Mientas will use this form to fool a pony and gain their trust. Once they have the trust of said pony, they lead them into the forest, then transform into their true form and eat them. Ponies that know the special traits of a Mienta's disguise form (their cutie mark and curl) will not fall for this trap.

Mientas have their own language (which kind of sounds like backwards Japanese) but can speak English.

They have an equal chance of being born with or without wings. When they do have wings, they have an equal chance of having dragon or feathered wings.
