Description
Replacement design for the Daedalus class, entering service in the 2170s.Due to problems with the original nacelle design, a 3 nacelle configuration with smaller, less powerful units was utilised. The issues associated with sustaining a 3-nacelle warp field meant that this design never achieved the potential that had been expected.

I always liked the design of this ship. Same for the Mann and Daedalus class starships. You know, you could go for a realistic warp design with this class by putting a ring connecting the three nacelles. Like Vulcan ships. Add the blue plasma lighting too. When we get warpdrive, our ships are gonna have warprings. Just a suggestion.

I like the orientation of the main crew section. A way to assist the gravity generating units could be employed. To understand the concept, I suggest reading E. E. Doc Smith's Skylark Series.

Nice render, although i must confess this class always reminds me of the Liberator from Blakes 7

The only thing I remember about that series is the theme tune...
This model is real nice work, lots of detail close-up.
