Description Tools: Intuos 5 medium, Photoshop CS6; I used several refs, this is the main one.
Time: not too sure, approx 2 days on/off hrs (and quite a few of them on the part of the image that's not been posted.)

I only used one layer for the painting of the face (minus adjustments), mostly because I kept forgetting to make new layers when I was feeling doubtful (which was a LOT of the time because I haven't done realism practice in ...probably a year?? Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't make any huge mistakes that would take forever to correct - just lucky this time!)

Happy to answer any questions C: (but if your question is general, please check my FAQ first and the Q&A of the two other processes above to see if it hasn't been answered already.)

I put them together in Photoshop - Timeline > Frames (CS6, in previous versions, I believe it was Animation...) C: It's quite easy - "make frames from layers". You can look up a lot of tutorials for how to make an animated gif on PS.

These are always so helpful! Thanks for posting them

When you're making the WIP animation, do you take screen shots of your computer? Do you need a camera to take screen shots? I'm a newby to this and I'd like to show my own WIPs

Yes, I screenshot as I draw (if I remember, haha). Usually I make a new file separate from my drawing file and just constantly past screenshots on there when I make progress. I put them together with Photoshop > Frames C: It's quite easy - "make frames from layers". You can look up a lot of tutorials for how to make an animated gif on PS.

Oh I can make animated gifs on PS ^^ I'm more concerned with how to take screenshots. I don't really know how. XD Idk if my computer allows me. I know these are kinda like.. dumb questions, but when you don't know something, it's best to ask :3

Your keyboard usually has a key like Prt Sc - depends on the keyboard, beyond that, I don't know much. You can look up how to take screenshots too haha
