Description
As I said in the previous post of the tape mode I got a kick outta working on this one because it was one of the first TF toys I got as a kid. I can’t say I’m an uber TF fan now so I didn’t know a lot of the bots I colored when I worked for Dreamwave, when I did know one t was, "cool I remember this guy". So, simple as Ravage was to color it was fun to do. Again I don’t know who the penciler was here. Digital colors by me. Illo from Dreamwave’s More than Meets the Eye Transformers Profile books. With the new TF flick on the way I thought I might as well get round to posting some more and man there’s a LOT I did, around 200 or so. Happy holidays!Digital colors only Photoshop 7.0

before I discovered Ravage was a Jaguar, I though he was a Pit Bull or a Rottweiler (just shows to go, I guess)

I can see how you would think that, it kinda does look like a dog too As I wrote in the post this was my first Transformers toy as a kid so it was cool to do this one. Not much to color but cool anyway. Thanks man

Of course, it makes perfect sense! From a tape deck, into... a jaguar?
Good job on the colouring.

Wish I could color. I can't do digital, try as I may. I even bought a tablet, and still nothing. I guess traditional is just easier to me. I have a lot of respect for people who can color with a computer..
I saw this and thought it was stolen.
There was another guy from DW here somewhere. A penciler, I think?
Love your work!
Good luck with the new projects ^.^

Thank you kindly. Yeah digital is a different way of thinking to a degree but in the end it is really the same basic process as traditional. Being I began in traditional media I can say the jump to digital, once the transition was complete, has been pretty pain free and more that satisfying in results. I still love traditional though
As to the line art, as I noted I was simply the colorist on this piece when i worked for Dreamwave. I have no idea who penciled it so if you saw the original pencils on DA please, by all means, fire the link of that artist to me so I can shoot them a hello. Sadly I didn't talk directly to the artists whose work I colored, I just did what was sent to me and often didn't know whose work it was.
Thanks again

Ugh, DA would be awesome if it had an edit button on posts.
It's 5 not 3.

I'll keep at it then, I know in the end digital can really look beautiful, and it saves a bit of money too. Buying those Copics and Prismas..by the time you're done you have a copy of CS. -_-
Ah sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound insulting in any way.
I was looking for fan art of Ravage for inspiration, and recognized this picture from the books- That I own
At first I thought someone had actually "copied and pasted" it. So it was pretty cool to find you were the original colorist.
I don't know who did this picture. T.T

Now that I've seen most of your gallery, I have to say that you're quite adept at drawing robots and other mechas. Excellent work.

My thanks though I haven't colored a Transformer in years, not since Dreamwave folded. I do piles of other work now so I can't complain
