Please pay no mind to the proportions. I know my weakness, and I'm trying to improve, but it keeps creeping back in.

That aside, this is a one-time character that I love from an INCREDIBLE series called Natsume Yuujinchou. I can not recommend this series enough. The characters, the plot, the development, everything about this series is amazing, and Aoi here is no exception. Aoi is a crow ayakashi ("Youkai" or "demon"), and he's usually shown in a very simple outfit, but here I wanted to draw his funky kimono that's he's shown wearing a few times. (someday I'll probably draw the titular character from Natsume Yuujinchou too, but I want to do it right if I do). Here's a small story to go with the image.

Aoi's time with Kaoru had dulled his awareness of humans, and how very cruel and dangerous they can be. On his way from his master's home to meet with Kaoru, he was ambushed by a strange group of ayakashi and their human leader. The man was an exorcist, and used his shiki to place several immobilization seals on Aoi's wings, grounding him. It wasn't long before they'd wrestled him to his knees, where the exorcist placed multiple seals all over him, even going as far as to lower his robes and place one on his chest directly.
"Please... you don't... nnng... understand... I don't mean any harm..." Aoi winced, looking up at his attacker from his helpless position on the ground. The exorcist glared at him with hatred, before reaching into his sleeve and pulling forth another red seal, smoothing it over Aoi's mouth to silence him.
"All youkai mean harm..." the man said. Aoi was unceremoniously dragged to a cave, where he was bound standing, wings pinned painfully with thick, ceremonial rope. Each seal sapped his strength more and more. There was little he could do but stand in place and hope beyond hope that Kaoru would find him. If she could not, he had to hope she'd look for Natsume to help when she realized he was missing.
