Description To start the new year, I'm planning of uploading daily for as long as possible. I'm still very new to digital drawing (and have never really drawn that much at all) and ergo, these sketches are very rough.

As I'm in the very early stages of learning to draw, I've been taking a free online course available on Udemy (Free Drawing Tutorial - Drawing for Beginners: How to Draw 25 Cartoons Step-by-Step | Udemy). The eleventh exercise was practicing drawing a 'hoot owl'. One of the most fun, but also most challenging exercises so far in the course. As with the cat mermaid, drawing each of the individual feathers quickly became tedious, but it was the wings that I wasn't able to fully perfect in the selection, although I am quite pleased with the ears as I was experimenting with depth perception. My favourite owl has to be No. five as I think that overall, it has the most character and is the best designed. On a separate note, the owls seem to have been joined by a beetle, walrus, and narwhal from previous exercises (let's hope the owls are hungry for an invertebrate snack).

Thanks for taking the time to view my art, and have a good day (Smile).
