Description
Note: This is NOT an attack on everyone who ever drew any of these! I'm just pointing out errors so people won't have to repeat themΒ <--- the Bienie.
But yea, I've been wanting to make one for a while
But yea, I hope this can be helpful to some people!
Also, I have nothing against people who have characters with bright pink inside ears/pawpads/noses, but please don't do that to Bienie, it clashes horribly with her colour scheme and looks ugly on her.

This is a really big help to anyone drawing your fursona, I honestly think it's a good idea for people to point out important things because lots of others can struggle to get a fursona completely right and this is sort of a guide to it.

And people wonder why I don't draw characters that aren't my own...
Ahaha I'm joking -- I just find far too many designs hard, ugh...
Awkward when I can't do my own charie's design... whoops
My main issue is that a surprising amount ofΒ people forget Hawkie has white

I see! Understandable xD
People, people. Howdoyoueven! Though, now that I have a double monitor, I have to mention something - on my computer screen, the white is indeed obviously different from the cream colour. But on my laptop, the difference is much less obvious - at first glance you don't even notice the white. I think that might be an issue that plays a role

Oh? I always use the same computer, and it's pretty vivid... I guess it depends on the angle?
But I guess I also know the main gist of her design, too :I

Spits.
I mean no offense. (of course)
but does it REALLY matter? the slight differences in design are stylistic features of an artist, aren't they?Β
I don't mean this in any way rude, I'm just very confused as to how pedantic you are about this. Just make it obvious in your ref sheet rather than do a correction sheet for her D: I could be REALLY intimidating for anyone if they were asked to art for your character.
π: 0 β©: 1
Vuurstern In reply to Lokibuns [2014-06-09 06:53:17 +0000 UTC]
I really try to make my ref sheet as obvious as it can possibly be, trust me xD If you know any ways of making these more obvious in the sheet itself, I'd gladly hear your suggestions.
Anyways. I can't really agree with the stylistic feature thing - yes, they can make the character look different but it's no excuse to go edit the design of someone else's character on purpose Β I think the artist made their character because they love it like that, and I don't feel like I, as the artist who draws their character, has the right to redesign the character to suit MY preferences. It's THEIR character and I want to draw the character as THEY love it. My opinion on the character? Irrelevant. The owner loves it, and that's all that matters! And thus I will always try my best to draw a character as the creator intended them. I don't feel like another artist has the right to redesign someone else's character, whether it's for the better or not.
But anyway. For gifts and all I really don't nitpick. Just in commissions I'm kinda disappointed if I paid for something and the artist doesn't even try to get the character right. But it's just my opinion.

I'll try not to mess up, but I tend to ALOT.

Haha, if it's a mistake you don't need to worry! It's really just when people are too lazy to read the reference or edit things on purpose, that can bother me.
And that's fine, if it's your style

Nah. The only time I mess up is unintentionally. I'd never do it on purpose.
Also I am drawing Bienie and griwi now c:
The funny thing is.. the characters remind me of me and my ex's old character xD
Also, We should do an art trade some time, whenever your up for one. Cause I really admire
most of your characters xDΒ

I hope you won't get mad at me if I say it's a bit overreacting ; - ; (assuming it's about gifts, if it's about commisions I do agree a bit with you.) I mean u///u It's a gift/commission made for you u///u but ade by another artist .o. like if they prefer a few things different I don't think they mean it offensive or without respect uou
When I draw other people their characters I always make a few minor changes to make it blend in my own style a bit better ;///; It's not to offend them but ; - ; to make it like idk more personal uou
I hope you don't mind that I disagree? c:

Vuurstern In reply to ateck5 [2014-06-06 16:04:21 +0000 UTC]
No, I get what you mean xD With gifts I don't nitpick either, just commissions (I think I said that in the description, even?) because well, you pay the artist, so you'd expect them to at least try and get things right.
But I don't really agree on the "if they prefer a few things different" (when it comes to designs, if we're speaking of styles then you're right). I think the artist made their character because they love it like that, and I don't feel like I, as the artist who draws their character, has the right to redesign the character to suit MY preferences.
But of course you can disagree, opinions
