Description
No, the title is NOT related to that one scene from Family Guy, though it was a nice coincidenceEntry for the minkin-arpg prompt of Dance, featuring Japur and Griwi 's Dia!
Sequel toΒ
Summary: After Amissa compared Zartan's movements to dancing, Japur is wondering what dancing is all about. She tells her mate Dia all about her thoughts on the topic. Dia then takes Japur to a place not often visited and starts to teach her. Due to their presence in the area, life slowly returns to it as they revisit it often to practice.
"I don't get it," Japur complained. Dia merely flicked an ear at this relevation. They had made themselves comfortable on their usual spot, but even though Dia was happy to quietly lay down, it was obvious something had been troubling Japur. Something was on her mind, and she would not let it go.
"She said he was dancing? Yea. Dancing. And I mean. I have heard of it, you know..." Japur paused for a moment and realized how little she actually knew, "but I don't think I can grasp the full concept just yet. How do Minkin dance? And what is the use of it?"
Dia smiled. Silly, silly Japur. So many others would have shrugged it off, most would barely have recognized it as something worth pondering over. Then again, Japur wasn't really someone to just let it go. "Oh you," Dia muttered. She looked thughtful for a moment. "Maybe I can help you with that?" Dia knew how to dance. She didn't quite know how Japur never really got any proper experience with the subject, but oh well. Better late than never.
Dia led the way to a place unknown to Japur. The soil wasn't covered in blankets of moss, flowers and grass. It was all bare, and rather hard. The trees weren't bearing any foliage, either. The whole place had an eerie feel to it, and Japur became somewhat uncomfortable at the sight. As if she could read Japur's mind, Dia explained: "Don't worry. Kujo isn't here, nor anywhere around this area right now."
Then she started teaching Japur all she knew. Japur, though an eager student, had troubles mastering the movements at first, but she did improve with practice. At the end of the day, she had significantly improved, and she couldn't hide the fact that she was somewhat proud of her progress. Tired and content, the two Minkin retreated to more familiar territories, closer to their herdmates.
Little had they noticed that, as they had been practicing for a large part of the day, they were no longer the only life in that part of the area. Around their feet, slowly but surely small flowers started to sprout from the ground, and grew as they danced. The more they returned to that place to practice, the more the place started to live up, their flowers now accompanied by young grass and other small plants, slowly but surely attracting other animals. The two didn't fully realize what had caused this revival, but somehow, their dance started a new life.
I need Minkin to cope with stress, sorry ffffff
but man
I love writing about them and drawing them ahhhhhhh
Different background this time! At first it was going to be grass, but the fact that the background was so bare influenced my idea for this into the life thing, so here goes.
