Description
For the Fawning Contest Β hosted by minkin-arpg , featuring Zartan and ZuuZombie 's Synth!
Zartan and Synth are making their way to the Nursery Shrine in the mountains. It's been a long, long travel, but nearing their destination their spirits are rekindled, relieved as they are to have made it.
They are carrying their offers in a basket of woven leaves that they made and carried together.
Synth's offerings are pretty gemstones he found on his journeys through caves, symbolizing his ability to weave through danger without a problem with his quick thinking and problem solving. He also added some of his flowers: they symbolize patience and nurturing, with a few soft velvet plants symbolizing his kindness.
Zartan is offering half polished, half rough stones. He wants the child to see beauty in either side and value them equally. On top of that there's a small patch of woven grass, symbolizing hsi dedication as it took him quite a while to make, clumsy as he is. There are also some of his flowers in there, to make it more personal.
This took hours and hours, oh my god, I haven't done a linearted background in... a while ffffff and while it has its adventages over vague painterly ones (more detail and easier to define things) it also takes a while to make it so carefully!
I do like how the Nursery Shrine turned out, though! Not sure about the rest right now, I always get insecure when I look at my art for too long
BUT I TRIED
Two more of these entries now, hhhh

Ok time for a question I was too shy to ask last time I commented why the frick couldn't I ask this question like???
I thought that Synth and Zartan were both male so how can they have a child? Is it like minkin magic or something? I am a confused Koru ono

Ah owo
Minkin don't have sexual organs! If they are male or female, that's because they feel male or female, but they can just as well be neither ^^ They reproduce by proxy: They have to bring offerings to a god called Ju (which is what Zartan and Synth are doing here) and if the offerings are good enough, he might construct a child for them. But in the Minkin world it doesn't matter what gender the parents are at all.

Yea muro is pretty nice, I don't know why people seem to think it's bad I started using it when I watched some of your redraws and now it's my main drawing program C:
no problem c:

I love it, but I guess a lot of other people just like other programs better. That, and Muro doesn't work well with pen pressure, which many artists have
But it's my favourite as well, and it's nice to see other who like it

I suppose so, I sometimes use photoshop for pen pressure but honestly I still like muro a bit better. c:
I didn't really like it until I discovered the sketch tool though.

Yea, the sketch tool is pretty good for everything. It's like 99% of my drawing is done with the sketch tool.

I used my natural ability to shape-shift to pretend to be a Fawning (it is Fawning right?) and met them at the shrine.

No, not AT ALL actually... please don't, you don't even know what this contest is about and it's a bit cringeworthy to read stuff like that...

I did read the contest info and I get your point.
But I would have giggled like the mad and vanished right after their response. No intention of sticking around or actually getting involved. I'm not as bad as Loki.

Something silly tends to work.
Sorry if I sent your mind to a twisted and dark place. I do try to maintain a PG rating.

You don't "send my mind to a twisted and dark place", it's just really REALLY awkward when someone comes in with a magical shapeshifting OC and acts as if they were in the drawing. Especially when they completly miss the point Same for people who are RP'ing their random characters I don't even know on my art.
