This was a photoshoot with one of my best friends as an early birthday gift

My Favorite! ^_^ Its like Disney Magic!
This one turned out so Flawlessly.
I could tell right when it came out of the camera that it was perfect.
The explosion inside the book and the extending from it flares were magically perfect, and the color on the tips added the perfect touch.
The reflection in his glasses turned out perfect
His expression is perfect.
The Lighting is flawless. i did have to darken the room in certain areas to get it right.
Its as if he was in a pitch black room.. and he opened the magic book to reveal its secrets.
LOVE IT!!! ^_^ <3

He looks like he's about to get sucked into the book. He has a surprised look on his face and the book is reaching out to pull him in. Like the picture was taken an instant before he got sucked in. He probably loved the book so much that he wanted to be part of it, so the book is granting his wish and pulling him in. I've often wished I could be part of a book I was reading.
Or maybe he's not being sucked in, but the magic of the book is overflowing and spilling out into the real world, and of course, he's surprised.
This could be put in sequence with the other picture with the butterflies. Like first he's really into the book and stuff and then gets sucked into it/the book overflows and the magic spills into the real world.
Either way, nice job. It's cool that the picture is ambiguous like that, the person looking at it can decide for themselves what's happening.

the sucking into the book is a bit hmm.. odd i guess.. its kind of like harry potter and Tom Riddle's Diary when harry was sucked into one of Tom's dreams.
but i can imagine this as being when he first opened the book then the next image the butterflies would come out like a suprise

Yeah, that was my other interpretation that I forgot to share, that this came right before the other picture with the butterflies and he's just opened the book and he's surprised by all the magical things inside it. And the next picture is taken like a second later when he has become delighted by the book's magic.
