Description Reaching out to catch the sun
To hold it in our hands
Longing for something strong
to hide out weakness

Soon the light may disappear
Nothing is meant to last
Yet we believe our world
Searching for happiness
The blue bird flies away

Nice overall colours to this, although I wouldn't say that the left has too much negative space, I mean you are supposed to show whats "Beyond the Bounds" right? However, I would say that this mech looks more like a gundam than of an orbital frame, but you could also but some sense of movement to the mech or its surroundings to make it look as if it was flying at high speeds. Good job overall on the rendering of this mech!

actually this IS a gundam, it's part of a series of images i made with it....it was like a year ago haha so this isn't really fresh in my mind anymore

but good suggestions, if i were to do it again i'll probably use very light clouds or exhaust ripples to give it a sense of movement...

....someday

thx for stopping by

thx

i didn't use nething..just spot lights....started with 1 spot light coming from the same direction as the sun....then i just duplicated a whole bunch of spotlights lights around the model in the form of a sphere or dome to act as ambient lighting

I like the light from the sun, its very convincing. what app you using?, In 3DSMax theres a light called "Skylight" that produces the Dome style lighting that u used with the spots. Probalbly more efficent just to use spots tho

depends on what you mean by "efficient"

it looks much more accurate, but render time is just way to high....
this piece only took about 1.5 minutes to render...so it's a real plus to just stick with the default lighting system

ooh i don't remember hahah...i think i said it in another comment in another piece somewhere...but it's around 350,000 to 400,000

Cool, but I think the composition is lacking somewhat. A lot of negative space on the left. Something more in the scene, or just a different angle showing horizon or whatever, would make a big difference.

well it might make more sense if u look at it backwards..dat the sunset is the main subject...

title "hope"...the song lyrics.....it's the gundam looking at the sunset...makes less sense if the gundam was to be the main subject

You can still have both those things Perhaps the inclusion of a horizon of some sorts would do the trick.

I disagree - the subject doesn't always need to be in the centre of the picture. I think this composition is spot on!

Your best one yet! If Turner did Mecha, it would look like this!
