This was one of my old tumblr rqs.Β The person asked for one of the Simpson girls in her pajamas. I chose Janey, because she's not a character who is drawn often. (Most of my other rqs are all part of one ask, come to think of it. I'm going to do them all though. Just you wait!) Janey looks good in green, doesn't she? I looked up what her pajamas looked like, and they were just like her school dress, except light green.ΒHope you like it!! ^^

Cute artwork. I always felt that Janey deserved more attention and have always wondered why no writer, in over 600 episodes and nearly 30 seasons of "The Simpsons", wants to give it to her. She can very easily be to Lisa what Milhouse is to Bart. Thanks for sharing your artwork.

They mostly focus on Lisa, Bart, Milhouse, and Nelson when they do a kid-focused episode. I agree that they should let the other black kid characters shine! It would be nice to see more of their point of view.

I'm so glad you appreciated my comment and that we both completely agree about Janey's underrated status. Especially in more recent seasons, she seems to be reduced to the role of just another "background stock character" and the writers have totally forgotten that she was originally established as Lisa's best friend. In regards to obscure minor "The Simpsons" characters who deserve so much more attention, I always tend to notice Dr. Hibbert's daughter whenever she appears too. I don't think the writers have even ever given her (or his two sons) a name.
