Aw, thank you! vuv At the time I was using Adobe Photoshop CS2, but now I use CS6 for my illustrations. There's not much of a difference besides easier shortcuts and a larger variety of tools!

That's sweet! I like fanart of those two.
Personally I like the pinkish colors of the alt version better but, it lacks some darks and shadows. This version has better contrast.
Also, did you came up with PB's outfit? Because it looks fabulous~<3

Mmhm, that was exactly what I was debating over actually haha. vuv I'm not really sure how to retain the bold shadows while still keeping the gradient overlay. :/

well, it's just the way I go about it, but I create another layer on top where I paint solid shadows. Then I play around with the setting of the layer. I feel like it's easier that way to set shadows and go over to clean and correct their shapes.
I'm not sure how many and what kind of layers you have but even if it's all merged you should still be able to add shadows that way I think...

I took your suggestion (as much as I could haha. ;; I didn't have my shadows in a separate layer so I just took all of the colors together and adjusted them accordingly) and I think this is somewhat of a happy medium? [link] Let me know what you think! O:
