the only thing that bugs me is the arms, they have the "Broken Arm" look that people used to think they were like.

quite useful. Dinosaurs are awesome, and raptors especially. There aren't exactly a ton of good photo references either, if you know what I mean. Kudos, I'll definetley use this!

Haha, I know this is a year or so late, but: The raptors in JP aren't Deinonychus or Velociraptor. They are actually the (exponentially more awesome) Utahraptor - basically bigger, smarter, and less-feathered cousins of the Deinonychus.
The Deinonychus and Utahraptor actually co-existed in the early Cretaceous period, interestingly enough.

Anyway, thanks for the tutorial. I've always had a bit of trouble drawing the raptor head.

Very nice! i have found that doing Dino's or Lizards are much easyer (Compared to Anthro wolf or others or humans) This has really helped me.

THis is great, you have a wonderful idea of the basic shapes. One thing I've noticed is that the torso is to short. Though raptors have compact torsos, this one's is a bit too short. Also, I think the shoulder of the raptor should be connected a little bit lower.
I love how raptor-esque you draw thier heads; thanks for doing to tutorial!
