a perfect book cover illustration! love the paradise being taken over by corruption. Only thing to add might be to make the tentacles a darker color, so they pop out in contrast to the city. having them almost blend with the vines kind of robs the picture of a striking quality.

Still worth getting in the book. congrats!

Yeah if I was going for a striking shock yes that would be a good idea . I wanted to give an idea that its been there barley in motion for looong looong time. Like it has a different sense of time than us. So went for more of a eerie/serene shock if anything. Was hoping by having the tentacles blend in to planet it would lead the eyes slowly to the tear in space and that's when you'd feel uncomfortable.

Wow, looks like an impressionist painting got invaded by Yog-Sothoth. This idea has some potential. I'd like to see Lovecraft seep his way into "Starry Night" and "The Scream"

Very nice! It's so unusual to see Lovecraftian subject matter in full sunlight, and the dappled light on the terrace almost becomes something else- adding to the cosmic feel.
