Description OK Gwen, you know they say that the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Can't you acknowledge that you're a teensy bit boring?

Pictures like this are the reason I don't do much openCanvas work with other people. I go in, wanting to do something impressive, but too often, I play it way too safe and end up with poor Gwen here. Now I'm sure that if I came up with a story for her, I could make her more charming, but it would be the writing doing the heavy lifting.

I realize that this is a woman, but I can't help but read her remark in Ben Stein's voice.

Geeky girls aren't boring, they're cute.

What you did have looks alright.

I think they're cute too, but she's not making the strongest case for herself with that weak rebuttal :]

I don't see why it would be a problem. Why would you be playing it "safe"? For whose benefit, and why?

It's easier for me to try something and fail on my own time, in private. When there's an audience (of another artist especially), the stakes have been raised.

Well, it's an interesting concept, but would Non-Erotic woot stand up against the "current" woot we've come to know and love? The Sketch Swap sketches have been great fun, even though only two or three of them are NSFW.

I guess the biggest problem with OpenCanvas (and Livestream to an extent) is the fact you effectively have an audience, and it's much harder drawing to entertain/impress than it is working on your own initiative. Well, that, and getting the bastard thing to actually hook up and connect to the Network. And getting other people to draw with you in the first place *sniff*

Yeah, when I sit down to draw, there's no guarantee that I'll be able to do something awesome. I will be able to do unimaginative stuff like this though.
