Here’s my entry for the Radical Racer OCC!

“Born in a country of poverty and societal unrest, Ryth had always dreamt of technological wonders as a child - images of holographic cityscapes, sleek hovercrafts, and mecha-suit designs from comic-books filled his imagination. Ryth’s very first technological achievement was repairing a vintage camera for his good friend, Iris, at the age of eleven. And when he was fifteen, the two had managed to build an automobile with parts salvaged from junkyards. In the few years of tension leading up to the Tongbei Revolution, Ryth and Iris had formed an inseparable bond, supporting each other through their struggles and often fantasizing about traveling the world together when they’re older.

The world turned upside down for Ryth at the age of nineteen. The revolution was at its peak, and the country was in ruins by civil war. It was this year that he lost Iris to a chain of bombing attacks in his hometown, and his remaining family was imprisoned to an unknown fate. Ryth was forced to turn to technology and engineering to survive the chaos, and eventually fled north to the summits of Norgastry. In the six years after his escape, he had been tirelessly developing his engineering abilities and designing innovative technology for transportation and security. Today, Ryth is making a successful living as a vehicle engineer.

Upon hearing of this race, Ryth didn’t hesitate to jump in and tackle the challenge. Confident in his technological and racing prowess, he had developed the Ondine RRSC-29 ("Radical Racing" Sphere-Craft), an all-terrain vehicle boosted by his fellows at DAIGO tuning company. Accompanying him in the race is a selection of highly-capable WARDEN drones which would provide aid in any situation that goes south.

Aside from the ambitions of achieving fame and fortune, Ryth is determined to accomplish what he and Iris had always wanted to do - to seize the opportunity and explore the world. Iris’ beloved camera is the remaining piece of her which would travel with Ryth in this journey, and their dreams long ago of taking photographs around the globe would be fulfilled in remembrance of her. He keeps this item by his side at all times as a source of hope, motivation, and reminder of gratitude in life.”
