Name: Tinder Lowden
Height: 5’8” (excluding the horn)
Gender: Non-binary (They/Them)
Observant, Grumpy, Quiet
Tinder is an Xdrossi, a species that comes in three elements: ice, fire, and electric. In Tinder's case they are a fire and electric cross. The electric genes are more prominent than the fire though. Most crosses still have symmetrical horns, but Tinder got all kinds of weird genes.
Tinder grew up on a planet where it was always dark, the closest it would get to “daytime” was dawn. (So originally it was only inhabited by species with darkvision.) Tinder has two brothers; one that's a year older than them and the other is 8 years younger, who are both pure electric like their dad. Tinder got their fire genes from their mom, who is also a fire/electric cross.
Biologically, Tinder is male. However, when they were six they realized that being a boy just didn't feel right. They brought it up to their parents, but they waved it off saying it was just a phase. For the next few years Tinder tried to just deal with it, but always felt uneasy about it. By the time they started getting on the internet more frequently they found out about how people identified as Non-binary, and became more aggressive about their identity to their family. Their mother was slow to understand it but tried her best, their older brother just tried to avoid anything related to gender because he didn't really get it either, and their younger brother accepted it no problem because that was the Tinder they always knew. Tinder's father? To this day he still thinks it's ridiculous. And so, Tinder tends to avoid visiting home.
What helped them get through the situation was a certain girl they met who didn't want to be an ice Xdrossi… *cough* Pyro from round 8 *cough*
But anyway! About where Tinder is now!
Tinder is a computer scientist on board the same ship as Mizzy Franz, who I enrolled in OC-Training in round 7. Tinder joined the crew along with their best friend Verizon, their robotic centipede companion. Verizon is a prototype for a communication bot that was originally going to be thrown out, but Tinder's older brother happened to work at the place where Verizon was developed. Tinder and Verizon have been inseparable ever since. Tinder joined the crew before they lost their leg, and Mizzy witnessed it when the two were confronted by a criminal. Tinder soon recovered from the amputation with the help of Mizzy and everyone else on their small crew.
I'll go into more detail about Tinder's time on the ship in the description of the Guess Who task because I worry this is already long for most people;;;
