Description
For some reason, this strip was very hard to put together probably because it involved too much cut and pasting with the panels, the backgrounds, and the characters on separate layers.

Bert and Ernie opening the show is actually based on the opening to the Sesame Street Live show "Elmo Makes Music" were Bert and Ernie greeted the audience and introduced the number and letter of the day. Ernie announcing Elmo is also based on a moment from a Sesame Street Live show ("Super Grover:Ready for Action" to be precise), where in the middle of the opening music number Big Bird says; "Oh boy! Look who's comming now. It's Elmo!" (In case you're wondering I haven't seen any of these shows, I've only seen clips on youtube).

Originally I had Elmo jump out willingly, but I thought it would be funnier if Ernie just pushed him out.

Triva: Elmo originally started off as a background character who would often change performers for every appearance, it wasn't until the miid 1980's and when Kevin Clash started preforming him that Elmo became a main character on the show.
