One thing that really annoys me is when people get this insane idea in their head that you can copyright poses. Sorry to burst your bubble but legally you can NOT copyright a pose. Its considered PUBLIC DOMAIN.Kind of how people think they can copyright colors, ear types, tail types, expressions. People.. You cant copyright those. XDD
Just to be a dork I made this tutorial/reference sheet. Its got a variety of poses, expressions, ear types, hair types, tail types, age types, etc. Need a pose idea? Take one from here.
Also a little tip. Tired of drawing the same thing and never having a variety of poses? Try moving the legs around a little or the head. You can change a few things and get an entirely new pose. Try it out
Hope this helps. I put some time into doodling these.. I just got tired of coloring so only colored two things. ( I had more colored but didnt like it )
Oh.. and a lot of these are based off images I had of my dog.
Thats where I normally get my pose ideas. Got lots of pictures of the Poos. ( A couple of the poses are based off my mom's cat Pyscho aswell )wolfvane14.deviantart.com/art/β¦

I agree with what you say about poses. If You could copyright poses, they would all be copyrighted in days, then no-one would be able to draw anything anymore.

I totally agree! its just silly to copyright poses. its even sillier when people flame people who copied so and so's pose. Lovely poses and great anatomy skills!

It is quite amusing xD like how some people's fursonas have little hair tufts and they say 'hair tuft optional." well one person was the first on the website to say 'hair tuft NOT optional' so when other users joined and didn't wanted the hair tuft drawn there were conflicts XDDD it was sad really o:

Oh man, thank you. I absolutely hate it when people flip out on someone who has a "similar pose" to someone else's picture. No tracing, no character copying, just a pose that's fairly similar.
Seriously, in some communities people are completely harassed and outcast from the group over little things like that.

I laugh when I see someone saying "don't copy my pose!" or "pose Β©me"- that's like putting my dog in some random position, drawing a picture based of his pose, then saying that pose is my pose, and you may not use it, even if your dog can be placed in the exact same pose. O.o Reminds me of this one thread I saw where an artist had drawn a horse rearing up on it's hind legs, and said something like "these poses are mine- no sticky paws!" and here I am thinking "hun, the pose isn't that original- many horses can do that." XD People....

Almost makes me wish I had dogs, but I have two amazing kitties. *lol* Which is why my normal adopts have such a funny pose. xD It was one my kitty Tiger did when he was begging for my attention while I was drawing. *lol* So cute. ^-^
