One thing that really annoys me is when people get this insane idea in their head that you can copyright poses. Sorry to burst your bubble but legally you can NOT copyright a pose. Its considered PUBLIC DOMAIN.Kind of how people think they can copyright colors, ear types, tail types, expressions. People.. You cant copyright those. XDD
Just to be a dork I made this tutorial/reference sheet. Its got a variety of poses, expressions, ear types, hair types, tail types, age types, etc. Need a pose idea? Take one from here.
Also a little tip. Tired of drawing the same thing and never having a variety of poses? Try moving the legs around a little or the head. You can change a few things and get an entirely new pose. Try it out
Hope this helps. I put some time into doodling these.. I just got tired of coloring so only colored two things. ( I had more colored but didnt like it )
Oh.. and a lot of these are based off images I had of my dog.
Thats where I normally get my pose ideas. Got lots of pictures of the Poos. ( A couple of the poses are based off my mom's cat Pyscho aswell )wolfvane14.deviantart.com/art/β¦

I didn't say you were sopose to, I just mean a lot of poses come from your head, and maybe smeone had the same idea as you, and whether you noticed or not your still going to use it.
What if I said my friend came up with most of those wolf poses? She is AWESOME with drawing wolves. See? It is technically copyrighting, if she was your inspiration
I know none of that made sense.... But I've had so many poses in my head that I CAN NOT draw without a picture of it [or if I'm lucky and someone poses for me] yet people have had the same idea as me

This is a great reference! I need work with my poses. I always draw them sitting or lying down, 'cause I'm just lazy like that. xD
And this will also help with my "Profile Problem" since I draw the same way, facing in the same direction. >w>;

And I completely agree. It's really stupid when someone comes up to you (though it hasn't happened to me DIRECTLY) and says "That's my character's color! That means you can't use it!!!"

The same goes for markings. I've had somebody complain to me that one of my characters had a marking that looked like the one on their character, and that person wanted the marking to go OR to have the character removed. But I didn't

FINALLY I've found someone else with the same common sense!
It's starting to get on my nerves when I see someone commenting ''I've used you're pose in ''___''/etc''
There needs to be a stamp about this if there isn't one already! -_-

Wow, amen to that. I hate it when people try to copyright poses, and I hate it more when fanclubs flame a person's page just because their character is tri-colored just like their idols character, so that automatically makes the person an art theif.

Damn, this ref has helped alot, oh yeah about copyright system, it sucks for musical artist becuase say that you signed with a huge company, you techinically dont own the songs, so if your whole band except yourself died, you dont kill the ownership of the songs, the comapany does and you cant do anything about

There is this bully at school who is bigger then me and more popular then me, he keeps pushing me around at school and takes my lunch money and homework(he is 3 years older then me, but he is in my math class cause he dumb) anyways and he one day took my psp, and calls me a nerd becuase i have star wars battlefront on it. One day in the PE locker rooms he tied me up to the showers naked and took my lunch money, i got loose, put my clothes back on and i yelled at him to stop botheriing me and i called him a kkk, then i took out a base ball bat from the storage room and tried to swing at him, he escaped untouched but a bit scared,
