I have a few commission lined up, but I wanted to get back to my favorite pass time, taking lighthearted jabs at Sonic games with my comics. This is my first shot at Sonic Colors, a game that I'm almost as hyped up for as Sonic 4. Remember how I said that almost every new game introduces a character? Well something I never mentioned is that some obligatory cute thing also shows up, usually its the standard woodland creatures, but sometimes we get a little more, like the flickies and chao. Colors introduces these little alien things, I believe they are called wisps...and they are decidedly less cute, what with their tentacles, single eye (I am aware that some of them have 2 eyes but still look quite freaky) and somewhat slimy appearance...So yeah, Sonic helps out the space Jellyfish that are significantly less cute than Mario's Lumas, that's the joke...Also if you're wondering what that last panel with Amy is about, she's about the age of a typical schoolgirl and these aliens have tentacles...

yeah, at the time this comic was made we hadn't seen all of the wisps yet though, only the one eyed white one and the 2 eyed cyan one. I think it's the blue and red wisps that have 3 eyes...

i think that sonic colors was just an experiment for sonic gennerations to se weather or not fans would like a game that blended modern and classic sonic gameplay that was way more popular than they excpeted. much like sonic world in sonic jam was a test for sonic adventure

he's a fairy fox that offers chocolate bars to people, if not cute, he's at least non-threatening.

Same goes for the Wisps. I mean, one of them lets you fly. How cool is that? Not to mention most of them look ridiculously cute, even the ones that try to be taken seriously.

not necessarily, but as a tentacle monster it's part of his instincts, so even though he doesn't want to do it per se he feels an unexplained sense of fulfillment being close to her.

The wisps are kinda cute (the one pictured is Yacker, a WHITE wisp btw) but weird floating aliens with anywhere between 1 and 3 eyes aren't quite as cuddly as little blue fairy babies or multicolored birds.

they are my favorite, but don't they look kind of angry? I know that is supposed to be an eager face because they're naturally speedy, but since they don't have mouths you can't tell if they're giving you a determined smile or a bitter scowl.
