there have been times that people have been called a 'gatekeeper' for not letting women join gaming culture. I've had a friend reference that to me when I suggested that girls who play candy crush and farmville shouldn't be considered gamers. Other people have had more diverse circumstances regarding the topic, but basically, it's been a accusation tossed around at gamers for being nit picky about the culture.
