This may be a dumb question, but how do you get all those tiny white specs? Is it similar to using salt in watercolors?

It's actually a good question. Salt in watercolors can pull the colors making them look like bursts. It doesn't give quite a smooth crisp edge. There's a couple of whys I do that effect... was use white ink on a toothbrush and spatter on top of the black inks. The other method is use masking fluid (same stuff for water colors) and spatter than on first, then go back with the India ink on top after the masking fluid dries. Once the India ink is dried, just rib the dry masking fluid off and you get the same effect. Hope that helps!

When I see a page that's mostly black than white...it always make me wonder how long it's done.
And I still say that that planet eating moon is creepy.

Probably would be faster if had a black board and inked with white ink. But that would be weird.

It would be weird but it would be interesting to too. 
Then again, it makes me wonder if it'd be easier to cover up white ink if ever there were mistakes. o_o;
