Description
So I finally went back and made a final inked version of this old run cycle I did: [link]Sorry if the frame rate seems weird, I'm not too good with animating using photoshop.
Done with some "free" time, an old not-so-well-working-pen, 10 sheets of paper, a lightbox, a scanner, and good old photoshopz.
Hope ya like

Hmm, the extremes need to be offset, that is, the front legs and the back legs could reach their extremes at slightly different times. That would help the fluidity.

Ah, they are, but only like a frame difference :/ guess it's not noticeable? I'll try to make it more obvious next time ;D thanks for the critique

Really nice job! What kind of reference did you use for the leg motion/order? As I'm watching it seems like the front legs pause at their highest arc a moment, but I'm not sure if that is timing in the drawing or if it is because of the frame rate. I see it most in the right front paw, but its hard to say exactly what I'm seeing....Hope this is at least somewhat helpful.

Thank you! ^^ I think I used the running wolf cycle from Wolf's Rain's credits actually xD The slow motion was helpful. And I'm sorry, I don't really understand what you by the front right paw :/ thanks for your critiquing!

Here is a tutorial I have used, its specifically for dogs. I don't know if wolves run differently or not [link] I found it really useful since it has a drawing for each frame. Going by videos works well too though
I think with the front paw, it seems like it stays held high in the air for two frames and the other paw moves faster. In the link I gave you, you can see it stays up for # 7-9, I think you are drawing 8 and 9 here, but his leg is stretched out as far in 8 as it is in 9.....its really a minor thing, but maybe this is clearer?
I hope to see more of your animation work!

The back legs are a bit stiff as they move forward. Other than that, it's very good. You even got the stretch/flex in the spine down. Nice job!

very well done, but maybe you should try to slow it down a bit so you can see the movement a bit better, four leged animas are werry hard to animate but i think you did a good job, if you want some tip on stuff you'd like to know i might be able to help you if you like :3

yeah it's very hard to change the frame rate on photoshop I have to tweak by like hundredths of second for each frame. annoying xP thanks though!

if you do it in PS i think you can just select every pic by holding down the "ctrl" botom and drag your mouse oover the images you wanna change (its been a while i animated in PS so im not sure if it works on yours but its a tip :3 )
