Description Put up the hero of this stuff a while back ( warahi.deviantart.com/art/Capp… ) so it's about time I do a sheet for the villain. Really I just started drawing him so much because, currently, I'm working on an animation of his head. If anyone has been wondering why I've been putting up things more sparsely it's because of that. Been working on it in my spare time the past few months.

Anyhow this is Master Raster. Back during high school I had thought up an idea for a 3D platforming video game series with this as the main villain. And when designing him originally well...actually originally I guess it'd have to be the old Gex the Gecko series. The villain in that, Rez, specifically in Enter The Gecko, scared the hell out of me with how he looked. So when coming up with ideas for this guy I started throwing together just everything I could that would be scary to children. I wanted a character that would stick with them in their nightmares when it came to appearance. And I will say, he probably is one of the "scariest" cartoon characters I've ever made. Razor sharp teeth, green skin, glowing red eyes, exposed brain. I could see him getting the "fear" job done for some kids. On top of that he's the size of a building pretty much. It was always interesting to me about how in all the older video games villains usually towered over the heroes. Eggman to Sonic, Bowser to Mario, ANY villain from Rareware. Really gives an imposing factor for the protagonist to overcome.

As for the character itself, while these guys do exist in the universe that my comics with Doko take place in Raster, Capper, and anything else from their series (along with things like Xenohunter) will likely never appear in those comics as they take place who-knows-how-far away from Earth, and that's assuming the adventures involving these characters take place in Doko's time period to begin with. If they do it probably wouldn't take into account much in terms of how it'd happen storywise opting instead just to have fun nods between the different series.

That being said, Master Raster is a T.V. Demon, a member of the T.V. Demon Empire which is a species of giant green-skinned humanoids (like him) operating from their world, T.V. Hell. As with the other T.V. Demons, Master Raster possesses a myriad of abilities including (but likely not limited to) fire-breath, acid breath, being able to shoot electricity from his antennas, laser vision, and being able to bring characters to life from television shows. And with all these magnificent powers his goal in life, as with all T.V. Demons, is to watch T.V.

...no that's seriously it. That's ALL that they exist to do. Lounge around eating snacks all day as they watch television.

The problem comes with what this ends up causing. You see, ALL they do is watch T.V., so eventually they end up getting bored when they've run out of things to watch. Their solution to this problem is to send drones from T.V. Hell to other worlds to steal their energy which increases the cable reception on their T.V.s so that they have more stuff to watch. Naturally, when this happens to the world of the series' hero, Capper, he goes out to get the energy back. Originally Raster just views it as some idiot that'll drop off of his quest before too long, but as it goes on he steals back more and more energy with Raster becoming more and more infuriated as his forces fail to stop him and eventually he has to deal with Capper himself when he finally makes it to T.V. Hell to stop him personally.

With how powerful and intimidating the T.V. Demons are they are not used to people going against them which possibly helps Capper as Raster underestimates the hero and is disbelieving when he actually starts to beat him in their fight. Obviously Capper becomes the character that he hates the most as it goes on, but aside from him the one he loathes would be his sister, Mistress M. Peg. With them being the "oldest" of the T.V. Demon siblings she's his main rival to becoming the leader of the T.V. Demons after their father (Don J. Peg) passes and has sought various ways to either make her seem less favorable in their dad's eyes or flat-out kill her throughout their lives, and she frequently has done the same to Raster.

The only character Raster seems to value at all would be the medic/mechanic/mad scientist/assistant that serves the T.V. Demon family, Dr. Screwloose. Arguably more sinister than the T.V. Demons due to his more focused attitude, Screwloose frequently aides Raster after his initial defeat either to help the T.V. Demon Empire or for his own goals (never really have decided on which it is or if it ever will even be revealed).

But that's Master Raster. Always do love drawing him. Cool looking and probably one of the most powerful characters in my universe.

Ah yes, the main villain you told me from your TV Hell series you told me about.

He should consider getting DirectTV or Comcast.

"DirectTV has been rated number one in customer satisfaction over cable for years, but there are some people who still like cable."
"Just like there are some people who like having acid spewed all over them,"
"Or Mistress M Peg's speeches,"
"Or being zapped with electricity,"
"Or having various TV villains torment you."

"For everyone else though, there's Direct TV."
