I find it funny how many (at least in my own experience growing up) Christians are gung-ho religious, even though their own Bible... their own Jesus, preached against religion, and encouraged faith instead... it was the religious that crucified him for taking their power over the people away from them, and if it were today, it would be the religions and the politicians that use religion to hold their power that would turn against him again!

I swore when gas hit 4 bucks a
gallon there would be riots,

I was hoping... maybe if I had a car at the time, I would have started one... but... no invested interest... of course, the prce of gas is the reason for our economy... if you want to destroy an economy, then fuck with the cost of oil... the rise in gas prices, means people spend less on anything non essential, not only raising the price, but causing lay offs, and everything goes up in price to cover the fuel to transport product to market, plus home owners now have less to spend on everything from their mortgage, to bills, to, again, non essentials, and the whole effect snow balls... as people lose work, it places less money in the economy, causing the loss of more jobs and businesses, and more homes getting repossessed, etc...
The US government should never have allowed the gas prices to get that high, even if it would have meant subsidizing the price of oil, or providing alternative vehicles to the working classes as a means of keeping the economy rolling.

Oh hellz yeah... part for me is I just don't know how to use PS (though I'm learning a few small things... like making sepia tone, and removing a blemish at the request of a past model) but the majority of it is I want to learn to be decent without having to use a computer to fix a mistake... anmd I really want to see what I can do on my own.

I have CS4 Professional, Extended version (it cost a bundle, for sure) but it's mostly here because it's open for any of the models I work with to play with it...

Heh... I have a few of those kicking around... I never play, but what I do, is my sister works at a foster home, and that's all the kids have for entertainment, so whenever their x-box breaks, I'll trade her out a working one for a broken one, and then it gives me a project to work on... I'll fix it, and then wait for the next time she needs another one...
