Description
Buffed Ability: Plus - In addition to its old function, whenever it switches in, it absorbs raised stats from all Pokémon into itself, and raise the respective stats by 1 stage each.Help Out and Strike with Oveplus! One thing that bothers me a plenty about Pika-Clones (including fanon Pika-Clones - no offense intended to those who made them) is that Pikachu have something over them that is worth using for; an actual evolution. Even if Raichu and Alolan Raichu are overshadowed compared to Pikachu, the mascot of The Pokémon Company, there's no denying that both Raichu and its Alolan counterpart are very popular as well, especially because unlike Pikachu, they are actually useful in-game and even prove their worth in the VGC formats.
Don't get me wrong, the Pika-Clones have their fans because of their cuteness and their design, but their overall usefulness in battle (except maybe Pachirisu and Togedemaru, but that was because of the use of their very professional, tournament-winning player), there will be stronger Electric-type that can do their tasks much better. If the Pika-Clones have an evolution, they can curve a niche that Raichu could not do so as easily.
Oveplus (Plusle evo) would be an example of this; not as proficient as a physical attacker than Raichu, but compensates with demonic 135 base Speed and higher Special Attack, making it a devastating Nasty Plot sweeper. Fire-type leaves it doubly weak to Ground-types, and it's bulk remains mediocre, making it uneasy to set-up, especially in Doubles format. That being said, it can also become capable of performing the cheerleader role better thanks to higher Speed, as it can absorb Electric-type moves with Lightning Rod to protect Electric-weak allies, especially Gyarados and Pelipper, both of who can take care of Ground-types.
Because of such a high base Speed, one may go with Sing to put a slower target into sleep, or even punish a switch-in, but notice that Sing's accuracy is 55%, so you can't be sure whether or not it will hit. If it lands, however, feel free to set up or punish another switch-in with a different attacking move.
