Description
Eiscue is one of those Gen 8 Pokémon where I’ve seen a lot of flak, and I mean it, a lot of flak!

I can see why; the original design of Eiscue’s icy head is downright ridiculous, not having significant use aside of granting one-time physical immunity (and annoying regen during Hail) and keeping it cool in outside of tundras and arctics. The Noice form is also painfully generic, with the head being the only distinguishable feature.

As you can tell with the redesign, I made the Ice Face more intimidating while keeping the inherent silliness, while the whole design is more based of the extinct British bird species, the Great Auk. This is why I added the Ghost-type to signify the extinction of the real life species, like how Decidueye and the Dreepy line are based of extinct species without being Fossils.

About the Ability Ice Face, there is a change about it as well; instead of a one-time immunity of any physical move, it provide a one-time immunity of receiving Super Effective hit, and only regenerate after battle or if switching-in during Hail.

Being a single-stage Pokémon alone may hurt its in-game popularity already, but while it does have some sort of novelty, its original design only dragged it down further toward many players.
