Note: This is Advanced Critique Encouraged, because it's color practice. The sketch itself is old and was hurried. So I would ask that you please comment with criticisms only on the coloring of the fawn and the background behind the wall only, please! I am aware of the other errors of the piece already.

I discovered in art class that I'm a loser at coloring--especially with colored pencils. So even though I didn't use colored pencils here (obviously), it was still practice with becoming more brave and experimental with colors, which I need sore help with. e_e

I think I should have added rays of light in -front- of her, so that it doesn't look like the light source is behind her, yet her cheeks are still highlighted anyway.

Overall, I'm semi-proud of the coloring (even though it doesn't look very great, the experiment went rather well, I'd like to think), though that might change when I actually look at this in the morning proper (past noon) rather than 2:30. We'll see.

She's just a random fawn (am I even using the right word? Like C.S. Lewis' Tumnus was a fawn?) and not a real character of mine or anything, so she doesn't really have a name or backstory or anything. Go figure. I just sketched this out in b+w (hence the hatching in some areas) when trying to work on my friend's b-day present. Blah.
