Description
Grimm even older than the Dragon "Glenn" that ravaged Beacon, The Swarm are another form of parasitic Grimm that possess and obliterate everything they touch. Any given individual of this species is no bigger than a cantaloupe, but what makes it frightening is that like their namesake, they swarm. But the twisted thing is, when confronted with a single target before them, they don't kill it. Instead, they possess it; they take control of it by latching onto the face pop the victim, weaving their tentacle-like feelers through the auditory canals in the ear and spear the brain at the stem causing paralysis and numbness in the victim in question, and putting the motor functions in the hands of The Swarm. People who've seen those taken by The Swarm often describe them as normal folk who have a living, sometimes, writhing mask of carapace and flesh on their faces, and that those possessed are as merciless as flesh-eating zombies. Also, they seem to speak in a monotonous, deep, growling tone; "We are The Swarm, we are your sins, we shall purge your world."

I thought of this one on the idea of RWBY meeting the Halo universe. The Swarm=The Flood. Just in case that wasn't obvious already. Hope you guys enjoy. Two more to go before new stuff will show up again.
