This was actually a small sketch I did a while back. Just kinda fooling around actually. I've noticed that, although I play Warhammer 40,000, I have yet to put up any Warhammer art.So, since I still needed practice on Photoshop, I scanned this in and colored it up.
I painted her the same color scheme as my Saim-Hann craftworld colors. In other words, the same colors I used to paint my miniatures with. Also seen in my gallery.
Currently, Games Workshop doesn't produce a female Autarch (its a leader character type) for their miniature line. But I always thought it would be cool if my army was led by some leggy space elf girl.
Anyone with me on this?Y'know, you really can't buy two power swords for your Autarch...but whatever. The picture was originally a full body shot....but, I thought to crop it like this instead.
Also, the original sketch was really small. When I scanned it and was working all zoomed in, the face just didn't hold up. It was really off. So this is one of the first times where I just erased the whole face and re-drew it right in photoshop.
Heh heh, now that I look at it...she kind of reminds me of a blonde Sarah Douglas (Ursa from Superman II). Sort of. I don't know....whatever....

Photoshop always comes out with different versions. I'm currently using Photoshop CS2. I usually work in pencil first, then scan the drawing in using a scanner. After that I just color it in Photoshop. Long ago, I used to use a mouse while coloring, but now I use a Cintiq.

man u must be rich, i just looks up them cintiqs and they're like 1000 to 2500 (aus) dolars. i dont even have photoshop( getting soon). all i got is paint.net

It's a shame you can't get female models... I had to do a deal with a dude who plays Sisters to get a girl-head for my Farseer, and I have to live with the body (if I greenstuff a breastplate it'll ruin the Rune Armor).

After 2 years of work my all female eldar army is nearing its completion. Currently it consists of:
2 farseers
6 warlocks
20 guardians
30 dire avengers
30 banshees
3 war walkers
3 wave serpents
2 falcons
10 pathfinders
3 d-cannon weapons platforms
4 Autarchs
All female atm... still working on some more.

Darn space elves. Always making it difficult for the Lost and Damned. Sadly, I've been unable to legally play 40k, as I've been upgrading My LaD to full chaos space marine force status (Alpha legion, less model painting.)

Yeah, I was about a third of the way through converting LatD models when the word came on down that they were no longer legal at tournaments. I was gearing up to use them at the next GT.

Yeah, they take a lot of patience to paint. It took me forever to paint mine, but its worth it! I say if you like the army, go for it and just take your time. Why deny yourself from the fun of playing an Eldar army eh?

Hm yes The eldar do rock as a big entusiast i was kinda let down when they released the game a lot of the units were ...off and the most common missing etc, theres a good mod coming out soon for it though was checkin it out looks pretty cool its on relic forums if any one is interested

I'm new to Warhammer, and I was planning to play an All-Girl-Army. From Guardians, Aspect Warriors, Warlocks, and led by a Female Autarch.
It seems it will cost me a lot of conversion, so I'm still collecting my army little by little...
However, nice Art!

Ever played Dawn of War: Soulstorm?
There are a really disturbing bug when playing Eldar on Chaos stronghold int he campaign.
When the Farseer (woman, the only woman commander in Warhammer Dawn of War...) tell her troops to stay alert there was a huge miss...
They hadnt changed the voice for Farseer so she sounded like a guy O.o
That was so disturbing I was like "WTF"

Currently my eldar (2-model) army is lead by a female farseer.
Very good work. Colouring is very detailed, also armour is very true to the original.

Thanks Djartistknight. Yeah, I'm a huge 40k fan...that's obvious. But there is definitely not enough girly art for that setting. Heh heh. Think that's why I drew the female Autarch....and I think that's why I'll probably try my hand and doing either a Dark Eldar Wych or Battle Sister next.
