Description
Sera, Tori, Jake, and Kari all spent a night at the local precinct. While it was in a prison cell, their cell was left unlocked and they were let be to rest far from anyone else in the precinct. The next morning, they walked out of their cells, feeling better than they did the previous day. Jake Followed behind Tori and Sera while staying close to a very quiet Kari. They all had their methods of disguise set to hide their more monstrous appearance as they planned to leave the building, and were met with a very big stallion who stood in there way, eyeing them all.
Tori looked at him, a soft smile forming, "Hi.. Dad..." She started to walk closer to him, "I'm guessing you're gonna take the search over?"
"Not a search. After what you and the others told the seers in the agency, this is a man hunt." her father said, looking at her, "We're gonna catch him, dead or alive."
They all looked at him in shock, "Dad, you don't have to do this." Tori said, "We're his friends, we could try to talk him out of it, or-or even help with the search. We know him well."
"Do you?" Her father said looking at her, "Do any of you even know what kind of mosnter he is? We don't even know from searching the building, which supposedly had his name in there. As far as we know, it's an unknown subject that is a serial killer, and he leaves no survivors."
"But that's not all him," Tori said, "It's someone else in his head. Matthew's still in there, he's a good person." She saw her arguments wasn't swaying her father, however, "... So what happens to us? Are we going back to the college campus?"
"No. You're all going home." her father said, "After all this, and what was allowed to happen at that university. Mom's gonna help you transfer to another college."
"Wha?... But... But, Dad..." Tori wasn't the only one shocked by this, all of them were looking among one another at these news.
"My parents life up in Canada, but my whole family is in India." Tori said, "There's no telling how far back Home is going to be for me."
"I... I don't even have a home to go back to." Kari said, "Where would I even go?"
Tori was hearing all this, and started to look down, "There has to be something better isn't there?"
"Technically, we should stay together, yes?" Jake said, walking up behind Tori, "Pardon me, sir, I don't mean to tell you how to do your job. But didn't you say that Matthew doesn't leave anyone victims alive? What would that mean if we're still here? He'll be coming for us."
"All the more reason I want you all back home rather than where he'll find you." Tori's father said.
"But why wouldn't he just track is down to those places?" Jake said, "What might be a safer move is to have us under protective custody. have us all stay somewhere hidden until you find him. Somewhere he wouldn't think to look, Like with a relative. I bet Sera's parents have a summer home we could stay at."
Tori's father looked at this white wolf, and the eyes he had in each palm. He was silent for a while, then he spoke, "You really think that may be the best?"
Jake nodded to him.
"Then you're all going to live with my brother in Seattle, he'll understand it's to keep Tori safe, but you all will have to behave. And you have to make sure you stay in the apartment."
Tori looked stunned, but slowly looked to Jake, "Okay..." Then as soon as her father walked away, she grabbed Jake by his shirt. "... What are you thinking? How does any of this make sense or even help?"
"I know it doesn't." Jake said, "I'll be honest, I got no idea how we could keep up a search for Matthew now. I just wanted to give us some time, before we could have to part ways for good. If we are up there till they find Matthew, that has to be at least a week or so, right?"
Tori looked at him, trying to look angry, but as tears formed in her eyes, she hugged him close.
Sera walked up to check on them, but Kari grabbed her shoulder, "Let them be... this isn't going to be easy for anyone..."
"Tori!" Her father called, "Get your friends out here, on the double!"
