Running up stairs and taking to other hallways, The group eventually found the trail left by Matthew. The dead bodies had them shaking, but Sera and Kari kept everyone going to try and reach their friend.
Jake would move his hands over the dead bodies and any blood stains, seeing though the eyes in his palms of what happened. "Matthew has been hurt by them as well during the onslaught..." he shake his head as his ears went back, "That's not good."
"Why If he's tiring and getting hurt, it could make them easier to catch." Tori said, "Which reminds me, shouldn't we go after him with weapons of our own?"
"We're not here to kill him." Kari said, "We are trying to save him."
"From himself." Tori said, and then gestured to the bodies, "We're pretty bad at it though, we don't even have a plan."
"We do!" Kari shouted, "Matthew is still in there, we reach him we can get him to stop!"
"Then what?"
"We..." Kari started to slow there, but her ears lowered, "We..."
"I'm sorry to say this, Kari, but we should turn him in." Sera said, "I hate to say it, but if we can get this to happen peacefully, he may get an easier time in court, and he could get the help he needs."
Tori shrugged and smiled, "I mean, there's already suspicion after what happened north of Washington. What's our plan B though, in case he DOES attack us?"
"We may have to defend ourselves." Jake said and started to lead the way again, "I'm sorry too, Kari, but if it comes to it, We may have to fight him too."
"I know..." Kari said, "I know... I just don't want it to go there."
"None of us do."

Jake came to a pair of doors, a plaque indicated that it was the CEO's office, "Yeah, he would come here..."
"Are you all ready?" Sera asked, "He might have a hostage or trying to kill someone." she looked to the mist dragon among them, "Kari?..."
Kari took a breath and then nodded, "Yes, Let's stop him."
Then they heard glass shatter. The group burst through the doors and they saw Matthew facing a window that had the glass shattered. he was just standing there, looking out. There was no one else that could be seen in the room. They were silent and speechless at first, just as Matthew was still. Tears fell from Kari as she looked to this... she tried to say something but opening her mouth did not make any sound.
After a time, Jake stepped forward. "Matthew."
Matthew's ear flickered, and a growl escaped him. Slowly he turned around to face them. In their right hand was a gun as he started to glare at them
Seeing this, Jake stood back again, he saw Sera and and Tori raising hands, "No no! no no, we're all friends here. We're not here to fight." He looked to Matthew again and closed the door. "You know it's us, remember. You're friends."
Matthew was still and snarling, looking between all four of them.
"Matthew, We're here to help you. It's what friends do." Kari said, but Matthew kept growling, "Matthew..."
It was a stand off for a moment, till the first move was made. Matthew raised the pistol and shot twice.
