Description

It’s that odd time between Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
Winter has covered the Pond in a white blanket. It’s quiet and perfect weather for a stroll.
Nolem is feeling quite content. He probably won’t be finding any buttons in the snow,
but he had a great Christmas with his dad and the other Mais.

There’s a nice big rock near the water, with a beautiful marble house on it and the adventurous Mais is on his way to check it out.
When he comes around the corner he stumbles upon two sunny coloured Mais who he hasn’t met before.
With some curiosity, Nolem struts forward to introduce his bashful self.

Sabrina seems to jump a little when she spots the caped Mais and her brother quickly steps forward in a protective stance.
Nolem isn’t too bothered by all this, he just pauses and grins.
‘Hi! My name is Nolem!’ he states proudly.

The bright yellow Mais frowns and opens her mouth.
‘No… them?’ she asks confused, glancing at her brother with questioning eyes.
But before Dimitri can reply, Nolem shakes his head, catching her attention.
‘It actually comes from “melon”, just backwards.’ he quickly adds.

‘Your name is Melon?’ Sabrina asks with a chuckle, confusing the caped Mais.
Dimitri gently nudges his sister and waits until she is watching.
‘It’s Nolem, with an L, like in lemon.’ the white Mais patiently explains.
Sabrina cocks her head a little.
‘No…lem?’ she tries.

Her brother nods in approval and at once Sabrina’s face lights up with a huge smile.
She turns towards the green, somewhat surprised Mais again.
‘Hello Nolem. My name is Sabrina.’ she cheerfully introduces herself.

I've been wanting to draw this forever hahaha
You'd think winter makes for easy backgrounds... I don't like it, I hope it's Spring soon
It's like 12 degrees Celcius here, which is insanely warm (it should be below zero during this time of the year)
So I'm not really feeling the whole Winter thing...
Anyway I hope you guys like this and I hope the text is alright! (feel free to point out mistakes) ^^
