I used a camera. I don't have a scanner. I've been getting better at taking a photo, but you're right, the lighting seems to be the big problem.

well, try to edit it in photoshop or something. or maybe take a pic in a place where light is evenly ditributed in the room...

Actually, you should see the original. It was waaay off. The only part I couldn't figure out how to get rid of was the grey area on the right side of the image. I think this is where the lighting is key. A tripod would help. I also think auto-focus isn't so good for this because a pencil drawing doesn't have the really hard edges for the camera to do its thing with.

Who'd have thunk I'd have to learn to be a photographer too?
