I found this little guy in the same parking lot I found the northern red salamander ten days ago. [link] Again - there's no water or any nice habitat nearby so I have no idea how either of them got there. Quite bizarre. Anyway, he was pretty dry for an aquatic turtle so I gave him a ride and found the PERFECT stream to let him go in. He swam around happily and seemed to thoroughly enjoy his new home.

I like your story, and the picture, of course!
This week, when coming home form work, I saw a Box Turtle crossing the road. I stopped the car, picked her up and released her to a nearby park.
It seems we both like to help animals...
