Yes. I said I had something to post, so here it is. Finished, finally. Thank you eggy for your help on the last bit. Advice and a sharp eye are always good. And yes, I finished it and posted it. Quite a bit later, but I did nevertheless. You should do the same. Anyway, its Naruto with the sunsetting. Or something. So its called Evening because that's a song on the Naruto OST. Oh I'm so clever. But not. Okay. Inspired by something, can't remember what. Suggestions welcome. This is the longest I've spent on any piece, and it died once I started working on it with the flat screen. Or before then, but it really died now. Yup.EDIT: Alright, put in the chakra. Don't really like the way it looks, but don't know what to do to fix it either. I worked on the blood, too, blending it into the ground more, trying to make it more 3D or whatever. Changed the horizon, too, but I don't know if it actually fixed the whole flat problem. Darkened the lines around the fingers, hid the lines on the collar. And got rid of the extra highlight in the leaves of the tree. Hopefully that made it look less furry. So yeah. Keep those suggestions coming, and do tell me if there is something I failed to fix despire trying to. Thank you.

No, you're right about that. Its not really evening. Its like...sunsetting. Except that's not a Naruto OST as far as I know. Thank you for the kind comment.

Well, digitally, I did. And yes, he was trying to kill himself. Except it doesn't work out, because of the Kyuubi. He'd have to leave the kunai embedded in his wrist in order to keep the cut from closing up. And I can't remember where I got that from, either.

it looks like it is further away although the tree is right next to him
but the picture in general looks like it is done with a lot of hard work! nice work!!!

Wow, nice work! I really like the effect on the tree and clouds. It's almost like a traditional piece of japanese art only not. And the way you blended the warm colors in the sky is really pretty. Good atmosphere. As for critique, everybody beat me to it so there's nothing more to be said....Keep it up!

I love the lineless look to your coloring! It's beautiful the way you've composed him with his back turned to us...poor wanna be Hokage XD I need to catch up on that series, what episode is it up to now? (last one i watched must have been ep 94)

ooooh prithee. your trees look especially realistic, i like them muchly. i really like your coloring - it's very soft and subtle. nice. i can see you put a lot of effort into the details and such, it really shows. awesome job

I like this... a lot. o _ o It's so... real, but not. 0_o I liketh the texture of the picture, and how you've made it look so ood with the absence of lines.
However, there are something that disturb me. I'm not very good at this sorta thing, but here goes. The blood at Naruto's feet looks a little too flat, maybe add some depth to it, but I don't know how you can do that. ^^'' The horizon line looks flat as well, but that's all I can really see.
Other than that - it's perfect. ^_^ I liketh indeed.

Spikey! Yes very spikey hair. The tree is all soft and texture-y, and the clouds... I really like them. Hmm.... and now that I think about it, the horizon does look a little... flat. The blood is very bold against the softness of everything, and i'm running out of things to say... I'm gonna take a nap...

ooo looks nice, i like how you got rid of lines to make it look more real. the colors are soft and serene too. ok, suggestions, maybe keep a few distinct lines as to keep things from looking too blobby ie with the fingers. the collar looks very flat but i'm not sure how to fix that. . . the horizon line is too straight and flat, too different from the fine grass in the front. the tree line looks really good as does the texture on the tree trunk. the leaves...uhhh look furry. the blood looks good too, so angsty. x_x
