One thing I’m starting to wonder: why are they all „female“ robots?

Probably not. Depending on what you think about.
It's simple. The female body just sold better. While a stallion would rarely buy a model looking like a stallion mattress tended to buy a model that looked like a mare. Money reasons turned almost all models into mares.
