Thank you. I like it too.
It's such a simple idea to be honest. It all boils down to...well... pixar style movies. "What if X had feelings."

But who programmed this robot to count time in a signed 16-bit field? Even in hours, it's clear to see that's insufficient. Is memory really that expensive? I guess it's probably a bug that only manifests if you keep the robot off for at least 3.75 years straight, not if you turn it on regularly, but I can't imagine that 16 bits is the default integer size on this architecture. Some programmer specifically declared that as a 16-bit integer. And some other programmer shipped that code review. For shame.

It was a joke. One that dates back to the prototypes. It just sneaks it's way into the new ones without ponies noticing by now.

Don't worry too much. The standard robot is ale to simulate feelings to a certain degree. Really deepens on the settings the owner puts in. But they aren't actually able to feel a thing.

even still i personally have always viewed machines as having some sort of spirit "ghost in the shell" it may just be programming or just a very advanced AI but somehow they all have quirks or subtle differences the only way those quirks could be there is if they had some sort of personality     then again im also very machine Empathic

Oh. Okay. Guess I got a bit of a sensitive spot then.
I know what you mean with quirks. Some of my things definitely have those ^^

oh no its not a sensitive spot its how i view machines they are manufactured ,built by us some people view them as just a chunk of metal that moves, i view them as alive not alive like a person but alive like another being

Ah. Yeah. Kinda do that too. Especially if they have their little odd things now and then.

yep , my biggest well flare up of my empathy is when i go to or drive near junk yards i see all those cars or machines just rusting away its not like i can hear them talking or  anything odd like that its almost like i feel their sadness being forgotten, left to rot, or just being abandoned for no good reason it gets really bad when i know  that they can be easily fixed it just seems a waste of a life to me.... am i weird

People throw everything away. Broken, damaged, old, ...not new. Yeah. Just how it is. Then again. Some people are just not able to fix their stuff.
Basic knowledge about said things is needed to even be able to start to try and fix it.

I don't like throwing stuff away. I usually try to fix it. Because it's both a waste of things and money. If I can't fix it...well, might as well keep the useful parts.
