The Mascot: www.waylien.deviantart.com/art…
An Iskandelthan Research Vessel. Iskandelthan Starships are somewhat frowned upon by the Intergalactic Community because of the weapon potential of its external Tachyonic Interphasic Assimilator. While beautiful to look at behind it's shielding, the Tachyon to Antimatter reaction is as bright as a million suns and could vaporize anything composed of normal Matter, even the elements themselves, if a port in it's Interdimensional Sheet Energy shielding is dropped on the reactors shell. Picture the "Big Bang" in a bottle!
But the Iskandelthans are a people of Peace and exploration and have assured this cannot happen. The Alorna is 782 ft long with a range of 22 million light years or more before refit of certain components. She can achieve a static speed of 10 to the 16th X lightspeed per second. Slow by Intergalactic Community standards because of it's long recharge cycle & slow navigation computer. But the Iskandelthans are proud to achieve this on their own without "renting" faster ships from more advanced Community members.
The Alorna has a full interstellar lab, and instruments able to closely probe distant planets millions of light years away while in orbit around her homeworld. But as Astrophysicist Ranloi would say "Where is the fun in that?". The observation dome on the third pylon doubles as a small short range self sufficient shuttle. And the Alorna's Interdimensional hull & Iso-shield can allow her to survive cruising the photosphere of a Sun.
All in all a example of the magic of the Intergalactic Community.

You always do such beautiful designs . I don't normally have the patients for making intricate vehicles for my creations. My Amorians have cylinders to fly around in XD.

It's a headache trying advanced designs I confess. So keeping a starship simple is healthy. I still don't have the symmetry of the ship above perfect.
Pre modeling them in a 3D program like Blender first helps, but I just like the old timey method I guess.

I bet it's really hard D:. Symmetry is always a weak point for me. If I want something close to perfect, I sketch one side in photoshop and then copy and paste and then use that as the other side XD
I love digital media, but sometimes I just find myself going back to pen, pencil and paper. XD It has a more personal feel to it sometimes.

The personal part is the important part. So I won't be like the Uber artists soon!
