I post this image, and title with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. Not all things are as they seem, this picture represents that for myself. At this point I will say no more, but allow my watchers to comment first and maybe, depending upon their comments I will elaborate on my thoughts.Related content

Mnie to zdjęcie podoba się nie z powodu ostrości światła itd. Zaciekawiło mnie coś jakby porównanie sił natury i człowieka. Z jednej strony strzeliste drzewa z drugiej wieża Kościoła, jakby konkurowały ze sobą... Takie moje zdanie...

Dziękuję za Twój komentarz. Zgadzam się. Obraz mówi w ten sposób. Dla mnie to nie fizyczne eksperymenty, które do mnie przemawiają, a raczej to, co ukrywają. Śnieg reprezentuje ukrytą krainę, kościół reprezentuje wiele dobrych rzeczy, ale także ukryty ból i krzywdę. Ogólnie obraz mówi mi, że to, co widzimy na boku czegoś, niekoniecznie jest tym, co jest w środku.

Snow is just the surface, a cover, a veneer, a make up, artifice. Beneath is what is real, or what we imagine or believe or wish for. It is in places, and products, and even people. We can strip away the layers and what will we find? Always enjoy your fine images and thought provoking questions.

Thanks Paul. I think you got the sense of what I was trying to say. So many people are quick to speak about what they believe, but often their is a gap between what they believe and the actions they take. We need only to look at the scandals in the Catholic church to see tis dichotomy, but it is present in virtually every faith structure. In essence, the causes me to be cautious about what I hear others say, and what I say myself. Perhaps that is a good thing.

I have used the DSr for a number of years now. I like it, and have had no problems. (I do use Zeiss lenses, which are manual focus, this caused a focussing issue initially until I turned to the focus indicator, now the camera viewfinder flashes when I achieve focus, in macro shooting I use live view). In terms of quality of images... these are as good as I was getting with a 4x5 film camera and maybe even better.

The image is about the difference between what people claim, and what they do. Externally, we present ourselves in the most positive ways we can, but behind the scenes things are not the same. The result is that people can claim to believe something in one context, and then in another context act totally opposite. So the snow may be white and clean, but there is no way to know what it may be hiding.
