I have a friend here on dA who is a REAL poet. Her words can make your heart sing, or cry for that matter. She pushes me to write, which is not something that comes easily, not like "seeing" something to photograph. Bu tI try from time to time. So you words have significance and are encouraging.

I'm not worried about spiders, but I am very careful. Firstly this is private land, and I work alone, so I tend to be very careful. I fell last fall and almost skewered myself on a broken branch. It served to remind me that some of the places I get to have dangers, and to be more careful. My dog does come with me, but I doubt he would be much help, and quite honestly, when I am out shooting, no one knows where I am, and I don't have cell contact. So I need to be careful.

Who would of thought that the stuff you shoot would be so perilous. It all looks so tranquil, I couldnt imagine you getting attacked by ravenous... Bats... That eat you alive, or something.
And you should be very very careful when youre out shoot, since you do it alone. Thats some dangerous mojo youre dealing with. ha

no, we don't have very many things that would attack someone and very little that is poisonous. But I remember one day I got stampeded by a herd of cows, why they decided to run right at me, I shall never know. I have not run that hard or fast in a long time to get out of their way. All in all it was a great adventure.

Do you do alot of your shoots on private property?

I was in a field that was being used as a pasture. I actually ran to the fence and climbed over.
Most of my work is on private property. Often I can track down the owners and get permission, but sometimes not. Building trust with people is very important, and I find that often people have already heard of me and what i do, so it is often not a problem. I have only been refused by one land owner when I asked to take a picture. But that is no loss because there are many other beautiful places an d objects.
