Highly unpopular opinion incoming. If you can't handle a simple opinion or are here to be a self-righteous zealot, please leave now. Think before you comment, please.What is it with people and being irrationally obsessed with/willing to fight with others over cartoons (regardless of their country of origin)? It's non-stop drama, especially here on deviantArt.
For crying out loud, cartoon characters are fictional; cartoon shows are simply mass-entertainment. There's no need to have meltdowns over the littlest things, nor is there a need to start harassment over someone who simply doesn't care for/dislikes certain series or whatever. People need to calm down, seriously.
Yes, I know some live-action TV fandoms are just as rabid, but wow. I don't even have to point fingers at certain fandoms. We all know what I'm talking about.
It's just TV, everyone. If you don't like something in a show, fine. Life goes on. The world doesn't stop spinning because of a change in a cartoon or whatever.
Maybe it's just me and being old and frumpy. I've just never really got into any shows in depth. I generally don't care enough to put all of my attention into things like that these days.

The guy who I was arguing with is a cartoonaboo fanbrat troll who thinks Tom & Jerry "is the ugliest and most overrated cartoon ever", thinks that Ducktales 1987 is a rip-off of Scooby-Doo and prefers the Powerpuff Girls Reboot over the original.

Yeah, there may be episodes out there on certain T.V. shows, like Thomas The Tank Engine's "Wonky Whistle" or SpongeBob's "One Coarse Meal", but yeah, people need to move on with these things.

just because it is fictional doesn't mean the peoples feelings for it are. I can see why people get so passionate about something they like, but its totally cool that you don't like nor understand it. Cartoons are still art, and a lot of hard work is put into it.
I do agree that others need to stop harassing and antagonizing others simply for not liking a show. That in and of itself is ridiculous!
But yeah, live and let live. it's alright to have an opinion! People today need to expose themselves to opinions more so that thy can get over themselves.

Seriously, it seems like nowadays if you so much as think of daring to be passionate about animation as an art form (which includes not always being happy about it, much like people do with movies and books) then that automatically makes you some extremist that people shouldn't need to be told are merely a vocal minority and do NOT represent the majority of us, but for some reason do. For some reason they DO need to be told that. Makes me not want to live on this planet anymore.

The fact that some people actually choose to behave in this manner over someone's cartoon preference appalls me.
Same goes for people disliking a certain cartoon character. The fact that people go bonkers over someone disliking a character they like is so SICKENING that it makes me want to regurgitate everything I have consumed that hasn't been digested yet.
